While the sun rises on my window,
and I wake up to this new day,
I know it in me, it won’t be
a day like yesterday.
There are tough decisions
I will have to make today.
And, it won’t be as simple
as it was yesterday.
I’ve date with my dreams today,
at the end of that slippery road.
And, it won’t be a smooth ride
as it was yesterday.
The stakes are high and the
challenges are much bigger today.
And I know, I won’t be as lucky
as I was yesterday.
All I can do is smile when
I look back at my traveled way.
I guess I know it now, the
only easy day … was yesterday.
